Safety and compliance

At Ingaadi Spa & Events Venue, the safety and well-being of our guests and staff are our highest priorities. This policy outlines measures to ensure a safe, secure, and compliant environment for everyone visiting or working at our venue.

Health and Safety
Clear emergency procedures are in place, with emergency exits marked and evacuation plans displayed in public areas and rooms. Guests will receive guidance during any emergency, and evacuation drills are conducted regularly. First aid kits are available at the spa, reception, and key locations across the property, and trained staff are prepared to manage basic medical emergencies. Contact information for emergency medical services is readily available. In addition, we maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the property, with strict hygiene protocols followed by staff and hand sanitizers provided in public spaces.

Fire Safety
The venue is equipped with modern fire alarms, smoke detectors, and fire extinguishers positioned strategically. All fire safety equipment is regularly inspected to ensure functionality. Staff are trained to manage fire-related emergencies and conduct fire drills to ensure swift and organized evacuations.

Security
Access to the venue is controlled, and guests are required to check in at reception upon arrival. Identification may be requested for verification purposes. CCTV cameras are installed in public areas to monitor activity and enhance guest safety. Secure locking mechanisms are installed on all accommodation units and key facilities, and guests are encouraged to lock their rooms and safes when not in use.

Compliance with Laws and Regulations
Ingaadi operates in full compliance with South African safety and hospitality regulations, with regular audits to ensure adherence. We also prioritize environmental sustainability by implementing waste management systems, energy conservation efforts, and water-saving initiatives.

Guest Responsibilities
Guests are encouraged to remain vigilant, particularly during outdoor activities, and report any safety concerns to staff immediately. Compliance with the venue’s rules and guidelines is expected, including adherence to restrictions on fire hazards and proper use of equipment. Guests are also encouraged to drink responsibly and act in a manner that promotes the safety of themselves and others.

Staff Training and Responsibilities
Staff members receive regular training on health and safety practices, fire safety procedures, and emergency responses. They are responsible for monitoring compliance, assisting guests with queries, and addressing safety concerns promptly.

Reporting and Feedback
Guests are encouraged to report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management immediately. Incident report forms are available at reception. Guest feedback is highly valued and can be shared via comment cards or by contacting management through email.

COVID-19 and Health Precautions (if applicable)
Health screenings, including temperature checks, may be conducted upon entry. High-touch surfaces are sanitized regularly, and masks or protective gear may be required in designated areas.
